• "Thanks mom!" he said as he grabbed the sandwich and took a big bite, smiling around his mouthful and giving a thumbs up. Deborah laughed, shaking her head and turned around, walking to the fridge. She grabbed a jug of iced tea out of it and poured Jason and herself a glass. Taking the drinks to the counter, she climbed up onto the seat next to her son and placed his glass down next to him, cradling her own in her hands. He smiled again and took a big swig as she took a small sip.
• The mother and son caught up on the rest of their day's events. Deborah didn't mention to her son that she had caught her boss jerking off that morning, much like she had caught him a week ago, nor did Jason mention that he had made a pros and cons list as to whether or not he should put on a show for his mother again. They both skirted around those issues, and just enjoyed their familiar mother-son bond; there was no need for them to spoil perfection, not at that moment.
• After their catch up, Deborah sent Jason to his room with instructions to study; he did have finals coming up and she wanted him to ace those exams. Jason complained, saying that he had already been accepted to the University of Colorado in Boulder. Deborah scolded her son, saying that he couldn't rely on his acceptance and that if his grades tanked it might be revoked. Grudgingly, he conceded the point and went up to his room to study for a few hours.
